The Member Preference Survey
focuses on service delivery, product use, member preferences and the use of
competing institutions. Market ID uses the survey data and internal files to
link every member household (and their associated balances) to the results of
this preference survey. Member responses are analyzed by segment, demographics,
PFI status and user group (self-service, mixed channel, branch and home banking).
The survey identifies the current use of services such as home banking, ATMs,
kiosks, debit cards, on-line bill paying, drive up windows and in store offices.
Trends in use identify new users of these services and members that plan to
start using these services over the next year. The survey also identifies the
type and amount of product balances held at other financial institutions.
