Do you have the internal capabilities to:
Create databases?
Organize your household records geographically?
Map important market characteristics?
The consulting services of Market ID normally involve a
combination of proprietary client data and market information. The organization
and integration of this data frequently involve the application of our data
management capabilities. These same technical services also are provided as
needed by clients, even when they do not require consulting services or data
products. The following technical services are available from Market ID:
Once the files are geocoded, we can approximate an MCIF
householding procedure by matching customer or member records based on tax identification
number, address and other elements. This will enable us to organize the data
by household rather than accountholder. Once this initial database development
is completed, we can increase your knowledge of these households by organizing
the records geographically based on address. Households are then aggregated
at the tract level in order to calculate market share. In addition, we can organize
these records by product use and balances to append a segment identifier to
each household record.
An understanding of current household development within
specific sub markets is essential for market or branch analysis. In order to
analyze accountholder information by area, household addresses must be geocoded,
which is the process of appending a census tract or block group identifier to
each household address record. The quality of our coding ensures a minimum number
of unmatched records.
The geocoding process requires a download of all account
records (loan and deposit) from an MCIF or individual application files. The
files are standardized, converted to a common format and geocoded. These files
are then organized geographically and are available for analysis in either tabular
or map formats.
Maps are developed to provide a spatial representation
of information linked to geocoded address records or census geography, such
as block groups and census tracts. The maps are available in a variety of outputs
including Acrobat files, color laser prints and large-scale prints (up to 3
feet by 4 feet) from our high-speed color plotter. Map content most frequently
includes a combination of information including:
Database and report development
Market ID provides technical services for clients that
involve downloading, coding and reorganizing account and loan files. Access
to untapped information about households and branch performance is possible
when all applications are combined as a flexible database available for in-depth
analysis. Following are some of the technical services that may be performed
independently for clients or in conjunction with a broader range of research
and analytical services:
